Snoop Product Description
WHAT IT IS
The Snoop is an all-in-one covert surveillance system that includes black-and-white CCD camera, video compression recording and video motion detector in a discreet housing. Images are recorded on a memory card (additional option) and viewed on a PC (not included) by connecting a memory card reader (additional option) via USB. PC software is included.
HOW IT WORKS
Simply mount The Snoop in a location suitable for observing the activity you are concerned about and plug it (transformer supplied) into any standard AC outlet. A built-in video output lets you temporarily connect a monitor to verify coverage. The Snoop will record images in JPEG format onto a memory card whenever it is triggered by motion via its built-in video motion detector or by an external trigger if you choose. You can schedule the times of each day that it will record and you can select the duration of recording after it is triggered, the number of frames per second or seconds between frames, and the picture quality. You can also mask out parts of the viewing area on the Video Motion Detector (VMD). The actual recording time will depend on those selections (see pricing information for frame capacity per memory card).
To view the recorded images, remove the flash card from the slot on the Snoop enclosure and insert it into the reader which you connect to your PC via USB. Up to 20,000 frames can be recorded (128MB card).
WHATS GREAT ABOUT IT
Covert surveillance is almost always something that you need to set up quickly without drawing attention to it. Until now, its been difficult to implement because it has involved setting up a discreet camera and a trigger, running cables to a video recorder and then finding the images. With the Snoop, you can quickly and easily set up your surveillance without drawing attention to it and then easily review the recorded events, making it far more effective.
